How did you start derby?
A colleague at work mentioned it, and said I should give it a try. I had recently moved to Scotland and was looking to meet people and make friends, so thought it sounded a great way to do that.
How did you hear about Roller Derby and the DRD?
Originally skating with GCRD in Aberdeen, Dundee was our closest league and I attended a number of open scrims DRD held and from there got to know the league. Also loved following their social medial presence and hearing what the league was up to.
Who is your derby hero?
I love watching Blackman from Denver skate, they are a fantastic blocker and pivot and I'm in awe of their skills.
How do you prepare for game day?
On game day I like to keep busy and chat to teammates, so that I don't let nerves get the better of me.
What position do you skate in?
I usually block pr pivot. I used to jam more, but am more than happy to leave than to my better skilled teamies!
Do you have any pets?
I have a staffie called Chico. In my (completely unbiased) opinion he is the cutest dog to ever exist!
Do you have any tattoos?
i have one of a penguin on my leg, and would love to get more in the future.
What was your favourite subject at school?
I always loved maths!
What is your job?
I am a Technical Safety Engineer for an oil and gas company.
What is your favourite TV programme atm?
During lockdown, I have been binge watching Community, and now listening to the Darkest Timeline podcast.
