How did you hear about Roller Derby and the DRD?

Had a placement as a student and met Milky/Liston. The more I heard, the better it sounded, so I went to the taster session with a couple friends and now I'm hooked

Any advice for people thinking about getting involved with derby?

Give yourself time. I see a lot of people at tasters who don't come back because it was hard or scary. Just give yourself a chance. join in and try your best no one judges.

What is your favourite thing to do in Dundee?

Go over the bridge back to my home kingdom of Fife 😛

What is your job?

Im a Staff Nurse in the Perth Royal.

What's your favourite derby memory?

Slamming into the bench at tasters

Three words to describe derby to you?

Fun. Inclusive. Awesome

Who is your derby hero?

Probably George (G-Wrecks) or Mal (Landsborough). They both try so hard and are such good role models for the sport!

What's the biggest challenge you've faced in your derby time?

27/5. Cannot get it at all.

What do you do to relax?

I just watch TV and eat!

Do you have any pets?

My baby Brogan is my world. She's really silly but she a great friend and the best dog in the world!

Favourite thing about derby since you started?

Meeting new friends. I've made loads of friends since starting Derby.

What position do you skate in?

I can't skate but when I try I mostly block... I'm big and heavy and get in the way.

Do you have any tattoos?

I have Michelle on my left shoulder.

Do you play any other sports?

I love snowboarding!

Who do you choose for next month's DRD spotlight and why?

I'm nominating Jennifer for next month - she is one of my closest friends, and she's been with me at derby since I made her come to tasters!
