How did you get involved with roller derby?
I've wanted to join roller derby for ages! Then I got an email at work from Circuit with information on the taster session with DRG, so I had to go along! Absolute huge thank you to her for getting me involved, I LOVE IT!
Tell us about your derby name and number?
Holdozer, Holly + bulldozer... but I'm also quite dozey... so its two fold, haha.
What is your skate gear of choice?
Reidell R3 skates, Radar Halo wheels, Gumball toe stops, 187 Killer pads, SISU mouth guard, and an S1 helmet.
Before you discovered roller derby, were you involved in any other sports/exercise? If yes, how has derby impacted on this?
Before derby I used to go to the gym and cycle. I still get out on my bike often but ditched going to the gym alone, as it's far more fun training for derby with all the amazing folk at DRG!
What is your position of choice?
I'm enjoying trying out different position, as I'm still very new to the world of derby!
Which teams have you skated with?
I've only just passed my mins a couple of weeks ago, so haven't played any games yet! I have been training with DRG since October 2016, and loving every minute!
Do you have a pre/post-bout ritual?
Not yet as I haven't played any, but I imagine it'll involve a lot of eating, sleeping and tiger balm.
How would you describe your derby playing style, do you have a signature move?
Right now I'm mainly focusing on staying on my feet and not breaking the pack... or myself.
What is your day job? How has your involvement in roller derby affected the way you live the rest of your life?
I'm a Game Artist, so I sit in an office and draw pictures all day. Derby has had a huge positive effect on my life! It's great of terms of exercise and getting fitter, and this is made even better with the amazing community of weirdos and genuinely lovely people involved!

Who do you choose as next month’s Skater of the month?
Shiv #165 It was an absolute pleasure going through newbies training with Shiv, she's not only an awesome skater but an amazing team mate too, always helping me out with tips and tricks to help me get through my mins! So happy I got to see her first game this month, what a star!
